Thomas,

Your comment is very a propos. Our culture has declared war on guilt and on personal responsibility. We live in a culture which nurtures irrational feelings of entitlement, in a culture of excuses, justifications, quick-fixes, and moral relativism.

Look no further than radical homosexual movement. Instead of taking responsibility for their own lifestyle choices, homosexuals insist they are "victims" and feel entitled to special treatment, no matter at what cost. The irony is that while claiming to be "victims," they are acting more like terrorists.

Our culture has declared war on guilt. The very concept is considered medieval, obsolete, unproductive. People who trouble themselves with feelings of personal guilt are usually referred to therapists, whose task it is to boost their self-image. No one, after all, is supposed to feel guilty. Guilt is not conducive to dignity and self-esteem. Society encourages sin, but it will not tolerate the guilt sin produces. But the answer to dealing with guilt is not to ignore it – that’s the most dangerous thing you can do. Instead, you need to understand that God graciously implanted a powerful ally within you to aid you in the battle against sin. He gave you your conscience, and that gift is the key to bringing you joy and freedom.

“All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others”.

I just find it interesting that one teacher speaks out against gay marriage in his state and his job is immediately threatened, but another teacher speaks out for gay marriage and they're protected. Isn't that Orwellian? Isn't it nice that only one side of the argument gets special protections while the other is publicly crucified for exercising his free speech....

Isn't that exactly what we've been saying all along about this fight? It's so much more than just society's rubber stamp on a personal relationship.

George Orwell 1945 Animal Farm: "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others".

Until you can prove that one married couple got divorced or one straight couple didn't get married because of the prospect of gay marriage being passed, you are nothing more than a bunch of closed minded, hateful xenophobes.

The conservative sources always over-report the attendance at their events. Tea parties, anyone? Oh, golly. And even 2000 or 4000 pales in comparison to the 100,000 plus people who marched in DC for gay rights earlier this month.
